卡莉賽門(Carly Simon)：美國創作歌手、童書作家，紐約書籍出版商Richard Simon之么女。六〇年代曾與姊姊Lucy組成Simon Sisters民謠二重唱，1971年開始個人音樂生涯。
1972年代表作"You're So Vain"讓Carly Simon拿到兩支冠軍榜與葛萊美獎三項提名，這一年她與James Taylor結婚，愛情事業兩得意!
這首歌的低音吉他前奏極具特色，彈奏者為德國樂師兼藝術家 克勞斯沃爾曼(Klaus Voormann)，他除了與許多老牌樂團合作之外，還幫The Beatles, Harry Nilsson, Bee Gees, Wet Wet Wet等歌手樂團設計過專輯封面。
