懷念的老黑膠
活躍於六〇年代晚期至七〇年代初期的三狗之夜(Three Dog Night)，是一支1967年成立於美國加州紅極一時的搖滾樂團，除了Danny Hutton、Chuck Negron、Cory Wells(1941-2015)三位男主唱之外，還包括吉他手Mike Allsup、鍵盤手Jimmy Greenspoon(1948-2015)、貝斯手Joe Schermie(1946-2006)及鼓手Floyd Sneed。
該團知名的三首冠軍曲"Mama Told Me Not to Come、"Joy to the World"、"Black & White"正巧由Cory Wells(1941-2015)、Chuck Negron、Danny Hutton個別擔任主唱。
這張1972年發行的《Seven Separate Fools》是該團在美國告示牌排行榜上名次最佳的專輯，收錄了五首旋律令我難忘的單曲，除了冠軍曲"Black & White"之外，A面第四首由Chuck Negron主唱的"Pieces of April"也是愛歌，再聽不膩!
本專輯封面設計由美籍插畫平面設計師Ed Caraeff擔任，以Three Dog Night字母插畫取代慣用的團員照片。Ed Caraeff設計的專輯封面尚有:5th Dimension、The Byrds、Bread、Seals & Crofts、The Doors、Bee Gees、Steely Dan、Hall & Oates、Elton John、Neil Diamond、Lobo、Diana Ross、Carly Simon、Linda Ronstadt、Dolly Parton、Alice Cooper…等歌手樂團。
